July 8, 2010 - Deauville - Day 3

On our third day in Deauville, Nana and Papa hit the WWII Museum in Caen. The kids and I had a good day of chilling in Deauville. We hit a cool bounce land near the beach and had lunch and then naps and by the time Nana and Papa got home - we were ready for the beach!

Right outside of our hotel was an open area where there is a market every morning. Apparently in the afternoon, this area turns into a place where you can play a giant game of Chess!

This is how we roll to the beach. Pick up a baquette for a snack and head towards the water!

We made it!

This picture shows a little bit of the famous umbrellas along the beach.

We hit the water as soon as we could.

Switched kids!

Look what Chase found!!!! He's adopted this sand castle and began putting more and more shells on it.

Papa comes to help..

Sydney has a snack on the beach...

So does, Papa!

Chase, Papa has a present for you!

Papa feeding Chase a baguette - so cute!

More please!

Papa's hand takes the place of a bib.

Post snack... feeling good....

And starting to get sleepy...

Our little guy - he looks so tall in this picture...

This kid knows how to chill...

His aura pulled me in...

So peaceful

But Sydney is back from playing - so Chase is ready to go! Chill time - over!

Decorating time.. and Papa goes to get more shells...

Thanks Lapa!

The rarely seen Nana (who has taken 99% of the pictures on our European trip).

Sydney was so fun. She loves to go jumping into the waves when they would come to shore. We were out there for a long time doing this.. and while there are many pictures to follow.. I can't choose just a few to show, because each one makes me so happy.
