On Wednesday, we went to the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek. The highlight of the trip was definitely feeding the giraffes. It was an amazing experience. You can buy giraffe biscuits at the tower, and there a few giraffes that hang out there to get some snacks. Sydney loved watching them grab the biscuits with their long black tongues. She also got to pet them.

Chase got in on the action, too. The giraffe was very curious about him.

Syd also got to feed the llama!

And ride the Monkey (I know its a Gorilla) on the carousel.

We had an awesome time, and were very worn out afterwards. After being at the zoo for about 5 hours, we had two tired babies on our hands - and one tired Papa.

July 29, 2008

On Tuesday we went to Nana and Papa's house for a couple nights since Will was out of town. We went down to the lake and Sydney got to play on the dock and tried to catch fish with the bet. She also went in the canoe for a ride. The canoe didn't work out quite as well as we had hoped, as we had 3 Boston Terriers swimming after the boat wanting to come in for a ride and then jumping out - and the process kept repeating itself.

But all in all, it was a good trip to the lake, and for Sydney, nothing beats hanging out at the lake with Papa.

Meanwhile, Chase started sporting his 9 month clothes and I think that I like this onesie best :)

July 28, 2008 - Chase is 5 months old!

Sydney LOVES to pose with Chase. She loves to hold him and put her arm around him - especially when the camera is out.


Chase is turning into a big guy. He is 5 months old today - and wearing 12 month shorts..

Chase took his first dip in the pool when we were at Abnet's house. I think he liked it!


Sydney also joined in the fun - and was able to tread water a little bit with swimmies on.
