February 5, 2011 - Swimming Pools and Ice Rinks

On Saturday morning, we were able to hit up the local gym's pool and the kids had so much fun swimming with their Nana and Papa.  They must be in the habit of swimming with grandkids lately.  We also met up with Jen Bussies and her son, Carter.

So happy!  He still refuses to wear a life vest - guess he doesn't realize how fun it would be to be independent.

I give her a little push and she can swim back.


After a big morning of swimming, we were able to talk Nana into ice skating!  Woo hoo!

She did a great job of skating herself, but was also a wonderful teacher for Chase.  He liked having a little walker to help him go all by himself.


While Nana and Sydney were skating, Chase wanted to check out this strange red booth...  Its an ancient relic to these guys.

February 4, 2011 - Night Snowshoeing!

The kids enjoyed some more snowshoeing at Nana's house the next day - this time it was dark out which made it a little more interesting.

Now they are trying out poles.

February 3, 2011 - Snowshoeing at Nana's...

The kids got their first taste of snowshoeing when we arrived at Nana and Papa's house - after a big storm brought lots of snow.  They loved it - especially Sydney.  She said she could snowshoe all day - and she meant it.  She loved going off by herself and into the woods.

There she goes!  Chase is still learning the ropes...




She's fast - already up and down the hill towards the woods...


Coming back!  She got too far away for Nana and Mama's likeness.

January 29, 2011 - Snowman Ball

On Saturday, we ventured to the annual snowman ball put on by the Hudson Preschool Parents group.  The kids had to wear their new doo rags.. so silly.

January 28, 2011 - Doo rags...

Looks like the find of the day at Hobby Lobby was these doo rags..   Sydney wanted a Mickey and Minnie one...

Sammy got an orange one...


Though he was none too pleased to be wearing it...


And tried to avoid getting his picture taken.

January 23 and 24, 2011 - Hanging out and basketball practice

Chase has figured out a new way to watch tv.. Sammy, of course, has to be right next to him.

He was also potty training, hence the underpants look.

Sydney had her first day of basketball practice... the only girl.  We got there and she said, "Hey, where are all the other girls?"
