July 4, 2010 - Paris - Day 2 - Evening

After visiting Versailles in the morning, our evening plans consisted of touring the Eiffel Tour. We started our evening at Luxembourg Gardens - a short walk from our apartment. There was a pool on front of a small palace there with lots of big fish that the kids enjoyed looking at... with their Nana.

And, of course, their Papa

And their Mama!!!

Thankfully they didn't lean too far over!

After visiting Luxembourg Gardens, we made our way to the Eiffel Tower - where we were scheduled to go up for our tour!

The view from the top! We were able to see our apartment area - and if you look closely, you can see Notre Dame in the top right area of the photo (on an island in the river).

Even though the top is very secure, I always had my arms guarding the kids from falling. Silly!

Chase enjoyed this view because he could see a hot air balloon on the ground (that he saw on the way to Versailles).

We would say, "Chasey, where's the balloon?" And he would point and say, "Right there!!!!" (I actually see it in this picture, too!)

Sydney admiring Paris

Cheese! (and crepes.. and pastries... and baquettes)

Papa enjoys the sun setting over the city.

Of course, the kids wanted to climb those telescopes the entire time, too.

Cheer up! You are 4 years old and in Paris at the Eiffel Tower!

Do my shoes look okay?

Eiffel Tower lit up...

Heading back on the train, Papa plays "Where's Baby McQueen?" with Sydney and Chase.

Which hand is he in?

Where'd he go?

Lots of fun in Paris today! One more day before we head up to our beach hotel in Northern France!
