October 10, 2010 - Sydney's Pumpkin Patch Progress
Sydney 2007 - 1.5 years old and cute as ever!
Sydney 2008 - 2.5 years old - big girl :)
Sydney 2009 - She grew 6 inches since last year!

October 10, 2010 - Chase's Pumpkin Patch Progress

October 10, 2010 - Pumpkin Patch - Heritage Farms
We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with the kids on an unseasonably warm day.
Sydney jumped right into the corn box.
And proceeded to make "corn angels"
Chase thinks about going into the straw tunnel...but eventually decides against it :)

Look who is getting big!
And she's not the only one - Chase has grown a lot in a year.
After lots of playing, we went for a relaxing hayride.. Daddy and Chase weren't ready for the picture - but... as always... Sydney was ready and posed!

Raking the leaf pile before lunch... See - its not that much work, Papa!

October 7, 2010 - Hale Farm Field Trip
The kids went to Hale Farm, a local historic farm nearby, for a Hudson Preschool Parents field trip. They learned a lot about apples, including how to make apple butter!

After learning how to make apple butter, the kids went inside a log cabin to work on a craft.

A friend of Johnny Appleseed was there to tell his story
Later, they learned how to make Apple Cider - one of Chase and Sydney's favorite drinks! Sydney works the crank.

October 3-16, 2010 - Buster! What it is right now!
We picked up our second foster puppy, Buster, on our way back from Champaign. He is such a great little dog - and he's sooooo cute!

gone... Zzzzz.. Must be nice to be in a nice warm house with a full belly :)
Buster became more and more comfortable at our house and really came out of his shell.

October 2, 2010 - Football and Volleyball
We took the kids to their first football game and they loved it!
I promise.. You know he just doesn't want his picture taken!

Towards the end of the game... can you tell? Two meltdowns about to begin...
