September 4, 2010 - BBQ and the Lincoln Park Zoo

The day after the wedding, Susan and Lance hosted a BBQ for family and friends.  The kids enjoyed it because they got to run around outside with Mija and Sofija.  Here they are having one of a few a popsicles for the day!

After the BBQ, we drove to Chicago and met Nana Boo Boo and Will's Aunt Lisa and Uncle Lenny at the Lincoln Park Zoo.  Nana Boo Boo loved walking with the kids around the park.  And when I asked Chase is he wanted to hold Mama's hand, he said, "No.  Nana Boo Boo hand."

September 3, 2010 - Susan's Wedding!

St. Joseph, MI - Susan and Lance say "I do!"




Chase enjoyed hanging out with Kanon Catchings.   Kolton was cool with sleeping in his carseat...


Check out their shirts!  Almost identical - same colors and everything.  Tauja and I did not plan this - although they are University of Illinois colors!

August 22, 2010 - At the Waller Car Wash... whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

Have you ever seen a cuter boy washing a car?  The kids got really into this!  Playing with hoses, soaping the car up, drying it.. lots of fun!  Chase and I tackled the Sequoia....


While Sydney and Will worked on the Edge.




Disclaimer ** The dogs were locked inside due to a certain dog being crazy about the hose.

August 19, 2010 - Gorgeous Lake Michigan

Who's that out in there in the gorgeous waters of Lake Michigan???

Wait, there are two people out there! Its Auntie Katie and Sydney! Don't be fooled, it looks farther away than it really is - AND - they are on a sandbar that is up to Sydneys knees. Looks like they have company coming in from the right...

After a quick visit to the beach, we met up with the Fritzes at the new fountain in St. Joseph - where the kids got to run around like maniacs while getting sprayed.. and then at the carousel.

It was very difficult to get a good picture of all four kids. Andrew was not into it.

Luckily, the two four year olds posed nicely.

August 18, 2010 - Grandma Brokstad Time

Grandma Brokstad came down to Kalamazoo for a few days while we were in town and enjoyed some time with her great grandbabies.

We tried to get some good photos - here are the girls in their french dresses.. Chase didn't get the french memo and is wearing his regular clothes... although the only french thing he has is his frenchie hot pants bathing suit!

August 17, 2010 - Lake Visit and Chinese Presents!

We enjoyed a fun weekend at the lake at Papa and Nana's house. All the kids (and Bostons) were life jacketed up and ready to swim.

Uncle B seemed to be the point person for kids in the water. Juggling the three 2 year olds.. and here comes Sophie!

After the lake, it was time for lunch, I think it was a late lunch because Chase fell asleep in his highchair! First time it has ever happened - glad I had the camera nearby.

After naps, we had a little photo session with the kids and their presents from Auntie Katie from China! How cute are they? So cute that I couldn't pic just one group shot.

Then it was time for hugs. Sisterly love.

August 16, 2010 - Beautiful Girl

While Katie and I were both at home at the same time, we decided to get our wedding dresses out and get them cleaned. We tried them on one last time - but, of course, Sydney also wanted to try them both on. Good thing we let her - because these pictures are priceless!
