July 5, 2010 - Paris - Day 3

On our last day in Paris, we decided to visit Montmartre - an artsy district in the northern part of the city situated on a hill.

While walking around a block filled with artists, Nana decided to have Sydney's portrait drawn.

Sydney doesn't look too enthused - guess she knew how the picture was going to turn out! It was very nice, just didn't look like Sydney at all!

Probably not enthused about sitting still... :)

After some shopping (mostly window) we hit a great restaurant for some yummy pizza!

After lunch, it was time to mellow out.. so we hit the Le Petit Train for a little tour of the area.

As we had hoped, the Le Petit Train, turned into Le Nap Train... (that's Sydney sleeping in my arm)

Zzzzzz......

Zzzzzzz............

We rolled into one of the most famous sites in Montmartre with the kids still sleeping...

Zzzzz.........

He sure looks comfortable in his Papa's arms though!

Zzzzzz...........

Nana actually woke Sydney up from her very short nap to get on this giant vent for a photo op. I was totally opposed to it (as a mom - its a priority!) But she insisted... so.....
Sydney wakes up - in a little bit of a blur wondering "What is going on with this giant vent? Yawn..."

Waking up more... seeing other kids and realizing this could be fun...

Yeah - this is fun!

Woo hoo!

After the train ride, we saw a mime who Sydney thought was very interesting.

After the mime, we walked around beneath a beautiful a church and saw the Eiffel Tower from afar. (Its pretty hard to see it in the picture, but you can barely see the base of it through the clearing in the trees next to Papa's head.)

Another view of the city - notice Sydney peaking through pillars..

Sacre Coeur Basilica

Grandparent photo op!

Waller photo op!

At the base of the hill, after many many stairs, was an awesome fountain with crystal clear COLD water. Everyone was soaking their feet and it felt so awesome.

So refreshing!

After cooling our dogs, we hit the carousel for a quick spin.

Yay!

After the carousel, Chase enjoyed some ice cream on the curb.

Its hard work being a gorgeous blue eyed blond boy eating ice cream in Paris.

Papa helps Chase with his paper on his cone...

Chase seems pretty content.. Look at his belly hanging out!

The kids sure enjoy some ice cream with their Papa on a hot day.
