April 28, 2010 - New Playset!

We finally got our new playset and its so much fun!  Chase is able to get up the stairs by himself - so he is constantly going up and sliding down.  Sydney loves the climbing wall and rings and bar to swing on.  There's a little picnic table underneath as well as an area for a sandbox.  We still need to work on that.

Chase really wants to be able to climb the wall - but for now, he is too little.

Sydney enjoying her new slide.

Chase about to slide down!

Swinging together....

Sophie thinks this is a new game.

Sydney spots me in the telescope.

April 19, 2010 - I ran the Boston Marathon!

3:39:12 PR!!!!

On Monday I did my first Boston Marathon. I set a new personal best for myself and had so much fun. The crowds were amazing and the entire weekend went perfectly.

One of the best parts of my race was the last .2 miles when I got to high five Sydney on my way to the Finish Line. :)

After going through the chute, getting my food and gear, I finally met up with Sydney and Papa.

Yay!  "Now, are you ready for a Duck Boat Tour, Mama?"  (The answer was.. Yes!)

Let it be known that Sydney also got to drive the Duck Boat (I didn't have my camera) and that the tour was followed by some awesome lobster bisque (followed by some Dunkin' Donuts which became a staple in Papa and Sydney's diet while on the trip).

When I got home on Tuesday, Chase wanted to model the hardware. :) He had a fun weekend with his Daddy - even hitting the Cavs playoff game. Lucky guys!

April 18, 2010 - Boston Marathon Weekend

We had a great weekend in Boston for the Boston Marathon! Katie showed up and surprised us - with Artie and Chloe in tow (AJ, too :) )  On Sunday, we went to the Expo and walked to Boston University to stock up on Terrier stuff.  It was a great day.

While walking to the Expo, we passed the finish line - and decided to take advantage of the photo op.

The Bostons in Boston got a lot of attention.

Sydney with her Auntie Katie and her Terrier cousins.

The Finish Line. I can't even tell you how happy I was to see this on Monday.

Two Boston Marathoners and a future Boston Marathoner.

Team Hoyt was at the Expo and Katie and Sydney got a picture with Dick Hoyt.  It looks like his son is in the picture, but its actually just a picture of him behind them!  I did pass Team Hoyt on Monday while I was running.  They were getting a lot of cheers.  Luckily, I passed them on a hill so the loud cheers helped propel my up the hill.

April 14, 2010 - Dunkin' Donuts Tour

On Wednesay, we took our field trip to Dunkin' Donuts to learn how donuts are made and partake in some donut decorating.  Sydney was beside herself with all the sprinkles and donuts.  At one point I caught her drinking the sprinkles out of the cup.

"Tastes good, Mama!"

Chase checking out his sister and her donuts

"Am I missing out on something?"

Hmm.. more sprinkles on the same donut she has been working on... very suspect! :)

April 13, 2010 - Sydney's First Soccer Practice!

Let's just say, Sydney's first soccer practice was a little more Kaitlyn than Kylie.. complete with some crying :)

She seemed to have fun at times, but really would rather be in dance class!  That's our next activity, I guess!

She did a good job though and learned quickly.  Hopefully, she will learn to enjoy it a little more. :)

April 13, 2010 - Chase's First Dentist Appointment

Chase had his first dental appointment this past week.  He was such a good boy.  They told me to hold him in my lap so the doctor could look at his teeth and clean them - and I said, he will be fine on the chair - and he was!  Big boy!

The hygienist cleans up his mouth..

After the cleaning, Chase takes a break before the dentist comes into the room to look his chompers over.

And once again, he's a good boy :)

April 13, 2010 - Chase visits the Hudson Fire Department!

This week was the Week of the Young Child in Hudson.  Several businesses set up field trips for all the young kids in Hudson.  You get to pick where you want to go and I knew Chase would LOVE the fire department.  Sydney also went - two days later - but I forgot my camera for her trip.  Poor Syd.

Here is Chase behind the wheel of a fire truck.

And trying on a firefighter's coat.

Driving another vehicle.  Don't push that button, Chase!

Ringing the bell

Posing next to a truck

Learning how to put out a fire with the giant hose

Woo hoo!

He earned a hat and badge for all of his hard work!

After all of the kids got done with the hose exercise, they needed to squeeze the water out of the hose so it could dry.

April 10, 2010 - The Wrights' House

Since we were in town for the weekend, I decided to make a stop at my high school basketball coach's house. They had never met the kids so wanted to show them what Kylie 2.0 was like. The kids had so much fun there - they made bracelets and necklaces with Laura, Mackenize and Cara. I mostly just talked with Troy. It was just like old times - except we have lots of babies now (grown up (relatively) ones for Troy and Laura!)

Troy, Chase, Cara, Sydney and Mackenzie. Sydney and Mackenzie have about the same age difference that Mackenzie and I have.

Notice the table.. lots of beads and other goodies for jewelry making!

April 9, 2010 - Fritzs and Wallers!

We went to St Joseph for the day and saw our old neighbors - the Fritzs (how do I even spell this?) Alex and Andrew are getting so big - but, I guess, so are Sydney and Chase.

October 2008 - more room on the chair
