November 26, 2009 - Thanksgiving Weekend

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year and everyone came by. Papa and Nana had just taken a trip to Europe and came back with gifts for everyone. The kids got cute little planes that can go by themselves and not fall off the table (amazing European engineering :) And for Syd - a little German dressed teddy bear that she named Uli.

Here are the babies playing with their planes under Syd's guidance.

Syd showing them how to do it.

Chase also got a nice Ronaldinho jersey.

He needs his Papa to hold him though.

EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 22, 2009 - Welcome Sammy #2 - our first foster

We have always been supporters of Boston Terrier Rescue - mostly by monetary donations.. But when we heard Ohio was having a really difficult time with so many Bostons needing help - we decided to consider fostering the Bostons that are brought into rescue - until they find their adoptiive home.

Because we have young kids, we didn't think we could even consider it, but then we got an email about a little 9 month old pup needing a foster home named Sammy. We thought a pup would be okay with our kids and with our other two Bostons - so here he is! Hopefully he finds hisnew home soon - for his sake - but until then, he's chilling with the Wallers.

This is Sammy #2's first 15 minutes at our house. Looks like he is having fun.

Good times!

Sydney likes Sammy #2.

Thanks for keeping me safe until my new family adopts me!

November 19, 2009 - Yoga

I went to a Yoga for Runners clinic on Sunday and LOVED it. So I decided to go to another class today, and whenI came home the kids wanted to know what I did in Yoga. I showed them Downward Dog, and they both decided to try it out.

I think Sydney is a natural.

November 18, 2009 - Obsessed with Slippers

Chase can't get enough of his Cars slippers. He insisted on wearing them to bed last night (and then Sydney decided to wear her Hello Kitty slippers to bed as well).

This morning, he threw a fit when I took them off of his feet while I changed him - so I let him run around with just the slippers on - and he was pleased.

Sydney loves her Hello Kitty slippers, too!

November 8, 2009 - Visit to Muskegon

While we were in Michigan, we were able to meet Grandpa and Grandma Brokstad up in Muskegon for breakfast. It is very difficult to get a good picture with a 3.5 yr old and a 1.5 yr old (who doesn't like to pose in group settings) - but we did our best!

October 31, 2009 - Trick-or-Treat!

After a month of Halloween festivities, it was finally time for the Halloween night trick-or-treat!! This year, we decided to go back to St. Joseph, and visit our next door neighbors - the Fritz family!!! Noelle and I took the kids out, while the guys stayed home and handed out candy.

Trying so hard to get a pic of my kids together in costume!

All four of the monkeys.. We have Fireman Alex and his Dalmation pup, Andrew. Bad Witch (but not really) Sydney, and Chicken Chase.

Running around and playing while trick-or-treating..

Chase enjoys the yard decorations

I got to pull the two little ones. Andrew only lasted around the cul-de-sac. Alex lasted the cul-de-sac and then half of another street. My two lasted the whole neighborhood and had a great time running around like maniacs.

Syd and our old neighbor from across the street - Ellen.
