September 30, 2010 - University of Illinois Trip!

We took the kids to Champaign to the University of Illinois for a fun filled weekend!  We went to a soccer, football, and volleyball game and the kids had so much fun.  We also met with friends who had kids the same age - which made it even more enjoyable for the kids.

First stop for the kids and I (while Will was working) was Ubben - which is where the basketball teams practice.  Since there was no practice going on, the kids were able to run around on the court and dribble around.

Since they can't reach the baskets yet - they made me shoot for them - and, not surprisingly, I still got it ;)

Sydney practicing her skills.

Chase is not so good at dribbling yet, but he is good at carrying the ball and running around.

This looks like a dancing/basketball move.

Later on, we went to the quad - where Sydney practiced her somersaults..

And then ran a LONG way to Lincoln Hall.  See her standing there in the lower right hand area of the picture?

Chase also enjoyed the freedom of the quad.  We just had to make sure they weren't walking on the sidewalks at prime time for class changes!

The kids hunting for acorns!  Fun fun!

That night we went to my friend Andy's house for dinner.  Andy was one of our practice guys at Illinois, and he has two little ones who are the same ages as Sydney and Chase!
