January 2, 2009 - Syd's First Time Ice Skating

I took Sydney ice skating for her first time ever! We went with Nana and Will, and while they enjoyed some hot chocolate, Sydney and I went around the rink several times.

Here she is using regular skates and a walker on the ice - she was not a fan!!!


We took a rest on the COLD concrete border, and I had to give Syd my gloves. It was really cold and her mittens weren't doing the job.


Luckily, Nana and Will found out that they had attachable double blade skates for little ones and it was a lot easier for Syd. She turned into an old pro and I didn't have to spot her as much.

Here she is going almost by herself!


A quick spot for Syd. Notice that now she has on Nana's gloves! We can't wait to go back - we had so much fun!
